Private Preview of Migration assistant for Fabric Data Warehouse

Last year we announced a sneak peak of a migration assistant designed to accelerate the migration of SQL Server, Synapse dedicated SQL pools, and other warehouses to the Fabric Data Warehouse. This tool enables users to migrate the code and data from the source database, automatically converting the source schema and code to Fabric Data Warehouse, helping with data migration, and providing AI powered assistance.

We are currently running a Private Preview for Migration Assistant, and we invite you to participate and share your valuable feedback. We are looking for participants working within organizations who are interested in accessing and using this Private Preview feature and providing us with feedback before it’s announced as a Public Preview feature. This gives you the opportunity to work directly with the product team to provide feedback, resolve issues and influence the product roadmap. If you’re interested in participating and would like to get access to the Migration Assistant Private Preview, please complete this form. We will reach out via email about the next steps if you’re selected for the preview.

Stay tuned to the Fabric blog for more updates, and we hope to see you at the Microsoft Fabric community conference for the session on Migration Assistant.
