Easily load Fabric OneLake data into Excel — OneLake catalog and Get Data are integrated into Excel for Windows (Preview)

We are excited to announce that the Get Data experience, along with the OneLake catalog, is now integrated into Excel for Windows (Preview). Like OneDrive, OneLake is a single, unified, logical data lake for your whole organization analytics data. This makes it crucial to have a streamlined method for loading OneLake data into Excel, enabling your team members to effortlessly access and analyze data. This integration makes it simple to load your Fabric OneLake data into Excel leveraging a get data experience to easily access both recent or existing Fabric data. This feature will be available to customers enrolled in the M365 Insiders Program on the Beta Channel (Insiders Fast). Stay tuned for its broader release soon!

Now, you can efficiently load Onelake data into Excel for Windows: 

  • Seamlessly discover your recently used Fabric data within the Get Data experience in Excel
  • Easily find and connect to Lakehouse and Warehouse data without leaving Excel

Easily access recently used and recommended data with a convenient list ranked by recent and endorsed time, making it simple to get Lakehouse and Warehouse data from the OneLake catalog into Excel for Windows with just a few clicks.
