Announcing the General Availability of Copilot for Data Factory in Microsoft Fabric

Copilot for Data Factory with Dataflow Gen 2 is now generally available, an experience that is part of the Copilot in Fabric, where you can use natural language to transform data and generates code explanations to help you better understand previously generated queries and tasks.

Copilot in Fabric helps you enhance productivity, unlock profound insights, and facilitate the creation of custom AI experiences tailored to your data. As a component of the Copilot in Fabric experience, Copilot for Data Factory empowers you to use natural language to articulate your requirements for creating data integration solutions using Dataflow Gen2. Essentially, Copilot for Data Factory operates like a subject-matter expert (SME) collaborating with you to design your dataflows.

Dataflows in Fabric Data Factory provides you with a low-code interface to ingest data from hundreds of data sources, transforming your data using 300+ data transformations.

Dataflows are built with the familiar Power Query experience to empower you, no matter if you are a citizen or professional data integrators, to perform data tasks such as joins, aggregations, data cleansing, custom transformations, and much more.

Once Copilot is enabled in Fabric, Copilot for Data Factory will also be available by your side as a subject matter expert (SME) to help you with Dataflows. Whether you need to create a new query, add a step to an existing query, or help you understand a complex query, Copilot for Data Factory can help. All you need to do is ask!
