New Features and Enhancements for Virtual Network Data Gateway

We’re excited to announce several powerful updates to the Virtual Network (VNET) Data Gateway, designed to further enhance performance and improve the overall user experience. These new features allow users to better manage increasing workloads, perform complex data transformations, and simplify log management.

Expanded Cluster Size from 5 to 7

One of the key improvements is the expansion of the maximum cluster size for the Virtual Network Data Gateway. Users can now scale clusters up to 7 instances, an increase from the previous limit of 5. This enhancement provides greater flexibility when scaling out workloads to meet growing data processing demands.

Whether you’re managing larger datasets or running more complex transformations, this increase in cluster capacity ensures that processing remains fast and efficient, even under heavy load. Users can now execute tasks more smoothly, minimizing processing delays and optimizing system performance.

Add Filter Function to Diagnostics Download

Managing logs is an integral part of maintaining a robust data environment. To address user feedback and improve the experience, we’ve introduced a new log filtering feature.

The new filtering feature allows users to select the specific log categories they need, along with the option to define a custom time range. This enhancement means faster log retrieval and easier access to the exact data you need, whether for monitoring, troubleshooting, or compliance purposes.

Upcoming Features

We are also thrilled to share a preview of some exciting upcoming features that will further extend the capabilities of the Virtual Network Data Gateway.

Support for New Regions: To better serve our global user base, we are expanding support to several new regions. This will allow customers to deploy and manage their Virtual Network Data Gateways closer to their data sources, reducing latency and improving data flow performance.

  • Italy North
  • Poland Central
  • Spain Central
  • Sweden Central
  • UK West

Stop and Restart Gateway Functionality: In response to user requests, we are introducing a highly anticipated feature—the ability to stop and restart the Virtual Network Data Gateway. This feature gives users greater control over their data environment, allowing for easier maintenance and troubleshooting without needing to fully decommission the gateway.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance and evolve the Virtual Network Data Gateway to meet your needs!
