Transform your business with Real-Time Intelligence: now Generally Available
In today’s fast-paced business landscape, organizations need real-time information to be able to act with unprecedented speed and precision to stay competitive and adapt to changing conditions. Granular, real-time insights about every shipment, vehicle, customer, and store are vital to take timely action to prevent problems and capture fleeting opportunities. Bringing together signals from all over, real-time intelligence enables business units to respond swiftly and adapt to fast-evolving needs. Companies that succeed at this will enhance customer satisfaction, optimize costs, and mitigate risks at levels previously unimaginable, gaining a competitive edge.
Since its introduction at Build 2024, Real-Time Intelligence in Microsoft Fabric has been a game-changer for organizations looking to rapidly build end-to-end solutions that harness the power of granular, real-time data at scale. This complete data platform has empowered businesses to easily ingest, process, analyze, visualize, monitor, alert, and act on events.
In manufacturing, businesses use real-time signals to enhance quality and supply chain efficiency; in logistics, businesses optimize staffing, routing, and delivery; and in retail, companies increase ROI by forecasting sales. Businesses of all types can make informed decisions swiftly, leveraging up-to-the-minute insights to drive actions at all levels. The customer testimonials below highlight feedback from our users, which has been overwhelmingly positive, and illustrates the transformative impact that Real-Time Intelligence is having across many industries.

We are excited to announce that Real-Time Intelligence is now generally available (GA). This includes the Real-Time Hub, enhanced Eventstream, Eventhouse, Real-Time Dashboards, and Activator. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing enterprise-ready capabilities that enable real-time data processing, analysis, and action including a full set of APIs and CI/CD support. Customer Testimonials
Customers across many industries are improving their businesses by implementing end-to-end real-time data solutions easier and faster with Real-Time Intelligence.
One notable success story is with Viscofan, a global leader in the food industry. With operations in 22 countries and sales in over 100, Viscofan needed a solution that could eliminate data silos and ensure all stakeholders, from software operators to decision makers, had access to the most up to date information. With the help of CyC, a Real-Time Intelligence and Fabric Featured partner, Viscofan was able to optimize their production processes, improve efficiency, and achieve remarkable results using Real-Time Intelligence.
“For our Beyond25 plans of digitalizing our business, we needed a solution that improves production efficiency and optimizes global resource optimization while serving data science and BI needs in a single workspace. Microsoft Fabric and Real-Time Intelligence are game-changing for us in terms of scalability, flexibility, time to insights and governance. For example, before we relied on static reports to respond to critical business situations. With Real-Time Intelligence implemented with Eventstream, Eventhouse, and Real-Time Dashboards, our shop floor operators to decision makers are acting more swiftly.”
Raul Gomez, CIO, Viscofan (Global leader in production of food casings)

Introducing New Capabilities
Real-Time Intelligence offers a complete platform for ingesting, processing, analyzing, and acting on events, enabling users to quickly build end-to-end solutions that integrate signals and deliver high-value insights. Leveraging Copilot, it allows users to ask complex questions in natural language and receive alerts about significant anomalies. This platform lowers the barrier and improves the time-to-value to utilizing real-time insights, making it essential for reducing costs, increasing revenue, and transforming business models in today’s AI-driven world.
This week at Microsoft Ignite, we released many exciting new and improved capabilities. Our session on Thursday will include demonstrations of end-to-end solutions and highlight integrations with Azure IoT Operations (now GA) and the recently announced industry data solutions in Microsoft Fabric. You can read more in the Fabric Monthly blog post and follow our blog for detailed posts.

Besides the long list of GA announcements, some of the latest additions in preview as of this week include:
- New Fabric Events: Enabling seamless integration and management of event data including OneLake events and Job events. These capabilities make it possible to move from a schedule-driven to an event-driven data solution reducing latency and saving time and resources.
- OneLake Query Acceleration: OneLake is the central location for all your data in Fabric, while Eventhouse provides an incredibly scalable and performant engine for dealing with time-series data. If you have historical data in OneLake and would like to combine it with real-time streams or you just want to query it at blazing fast speeds but didn’t land it in Eventhouse natively – OneLake Query Acceleration makes it possible. With query acceleration, you can see up to 50x improvements in your queries compared to unaccelerated, and even more compared to other engines such as Spark.
- New Connectors: Including support for Azure Service Bus, addressing a top customer ask to stream data from Azure Service Bus topics or queues into Eventstream for real-time processing.
